A boost for the North West 16/08/2007
 
WM Enterprise and C-Tech Innovation have been awarded a £2.9m Knowledge to Innovate (K2i) contract by the North West Development Agency (NWDA). K2i will support Northwest companies in their innovation efforts over the next three years.
K2i aims to build innovation capacity in medium and smaller sized firms, assisting them to introduce innovation into all aspects of their business. Companies in the NWDA’s six priority growth sectors: biomedical, advanced engineering and materials, digital and creative industries, business and professional services, food and drink, and energy and environmental Technologies, will be specifically targeted.
As well as support for new product and process development, K2i offers a tailored programme of consultancy support in areas such as innovation leadership, innovation strategy development, embedding innovation within company practices and organisational and cultural change.
