Fortress Interlocks makes move to new, purpose-built premises
Fortress Interlocks, which won the ‘Green Innovation’ category at the 2006 Innovation & Design Excellence Awards, is on the verge of moving into new premises.
Work has begun on a new £3m factory, which will produce its growing range of specialist safety interlocking equipment for potentially hazardous workplaces. At the time of the Awards, the company cited the proposed new facility as a key step in its development.
The 2,800 sq m factory at Monmore Grange Estate, due for completion in March 2008, includes a production and warehouse facility, plus a two-storey office building.
Managing director Mike Golding said: “The move is one of the major milestones in the transformation of Fortress from a small engineering company to a global supplier of industrial interlocking products.”
Golding was also a speaker at the 2007 Innovation Conference. The 2008 event takes place at the Woodland Grange Hotel near Leamington Spa on 14 May 2008. For more details, email Kerry Wilkins.
