Online design forum encourages debate 04/12/2007

design talks An online community and discussion forum for UK design and manufacturing businesses has gone live.

Design Talks, which is backed by CAD software vendor SolidWorks, was established in response to research carried out among SolidWorks users, who suggested the need for practical advice and best practice guidance.

It will run regular roundtable debates, featuring leading figures from UK design and manufacturing. Although debate will be encouraged about all aspects of design in manufacturing, the initial focus is on ways that businesses can evaluate and maximise the return on their investment in design.

Membership is free, and members are entitled to download whitepapers and transcripts, and participate in forum debates.

The site is hosted at www.design-talks.com
