Joonas told us, “Our core idea was a meeting point and how to enhance it in a rural environment where people are very isolated. My concept is a vehicle that may be combined with others to create a meeting place. The meeting place can be made anywhere that three vehicles can be parked together. The rears of the vehicles open up to make a kind of umbrella covered area. The structure has a dynamic steel space frame and body panels”.

Runners up were Yunwoo Jeong for a car that provides a direct connection to house and station with full opening, swivelling doors and Sergio Lourero da Silva for a concept involving rectangular three wheeled electric vehicles that could be driven onto train wagons from the sides so as maximise loading efficiency.

The overall group winners were Sergio Lourero da Silva, Ilaria Sacco and Yunwoo Jeong for a transport system that would link the home, car and public transport through information technology.
