Mcor technologies has been founded by Conor and Fintan MacCormack, who are the CEO and CTO respectively. Their first product, the Mcor Matrix has already been purchased in advance by Trinity College, Dublin, Dublin Institute of Technology, University College Dublin and Ravensbourne College of Design and Communications.
In addition, Guys Hospital in London will trial the machine shortly. Orders have also been received from Russia, Italy, Malaysia and further afield.
Price is around $25,000 each, making it slightly more expensive than competitors, but the use of cheap media allows users to recoup the extra cost very quickly. Models take a few hours to produce.
