Introducing new innovation thinking into the design process – and design thinking into the innovation process
If you think Leylandii are a problem, then imagine living next door to someone who: plants new hedges, then takes them down and puts up a new fence; takes that down and builds a wall; then takes that down and builds another wall out of recycled materials. Irritating or what?
Yet, in your own business environment, that is happening every day. Someone is creating something new, which is either a great intrusion into an ordered business life or even a new opportunity. The difficult thing is that the changes are not always obvious straight-line extrapolations of today. Not that long ago, little did many of us expect to be taking holiday snapshots on our ‘phones and then emailing the pictures to friends - and this at the same time as listening to music or watching videos on the same gadget.
