Free software and training to be given to unemployed engineers

SolidWorks has announced that it intends to provide free software and training to unemployed engineers, initially in North America, but ultimately globally

Free software and training to be given to unemployed engineers.

CEO Jeff Ray explained on the last day of the SolidWorks World event in Orlando that the company intended to role out what it termed it’s, “Engineering Stimulus Program” both to help unemployed engineers get back into work and to raise skills levels.

Ray said that, “We learned a lot in 2001 when we went through the last difficult time, and brought out the SolidWorks personal edition. It was a complete and total success so it made perfect sense to dust the covers off and do it again”. On this occasion, the company will not only be giving out free software but organising free training, so that engineers who are not qualified can achieve CSWA (Certified SolidWorks Associate) status. Ray said that in order to deliver this, “The resellers are working with government bodies”, adding that, “A lot of our resellers have already jumped at this…it will be rolled out at different stages around the world”. European journalists asked him to repeat this last remark, in case they had not heard right but Ray insisted that while it was initially to be rolled out in North America, “It will be global”.

I am an unemployed engineer/designer looking to learn Solidworks.
How do I get the free software you indicated. I registered and now what? Please advise how to down load software.
Thank you.
