Ansys and Autodesk deliver interoperable solutions

Autodesk has certified five Ansys simulation products for integration with its Inventor 2010 software, both 32- and 64-bit.

Ansys and Autodesk deliver interoperable solutionsSays Dipankar Choudhury, Ansys' vice president of product strategy and planning: "These certifications have been made possible because of the open architecture designed into the Ansys' Workbench environment."

"Tightly integrating Ansys Workbench with Inventor enables our mutual customers to rapidly optimise products and processes, speeding design and development times and reducing costs," he adds.

And he suggests that customers importing CAD models for simulation analysis through Ansys can also expect enhanced quality and better innovation – meaning not just by validating existing products, but developing new, faster and better, in line with Autodesk Inventor 2010's digital prototyping, single digital model theme.

Ansys products certified now include DesignSpace, Mechanical, Multiphysics, CFX and DesignXplorer. These products take advantage of the common, bi-directionally associative interface between the Ansys Workbench environment and Autodesk Inventor.
