Bourns'EMS22 is a new line of rotary magnetic encoders for harsh environment applications.
The products feature a Hall Effect application specific standard product (ASSP) capable of producing four distinct waveforms including quadrature, direction/step, absolute and PWM waveforms. The encoders can be interconnected in a daisy chain configuration for a serial read-output option.
The chip-select option allows the interrogation of each encoder individually by the microprocessor, which has been designed to take less time to execute and enhance the speed of the control loop. The EMS22 magnetic encoder family performs in a wide temperature range with the capability of rotating up to 10.000 RPM while maintaining code accuracy. The product family is available in three different mechanical configurations that include a single or dual ball bearing bushing mount, and dual ball bearing servo mount.
