Comprised of an aramid fibre reinforced epoxy adhesive, for high performance structural bonding, Master Bond says its EP30R features 'outstanding dimensional stability' and enhanced impact resistance.

Fibre reinforced epoxy resinThe two part epoxy is formulated to cure at room temperature or more rapidly at elevated temperatures. The EP30R is said to produce high strength bonds to metals, glass, ceramics, vulcanised rubbers and many plastics that resist thermal cycling and chemicals over the temperature range of -51 to over 120°C.

Master Bond says that cure shrinkage of 0.0003in preserves dimensional formation of the assembled parts, while severe mechanical or thermal stresses do not weaken adhesive performance. According to Master Bond, the cured epoxy is an excellent electrical insulator.

The EP30R is a high viscosity compound and designed to spread evenly and smoothly, while only contact pressure is required for cure.

100% reactive, the epoxy adhesive is said to contain no solvents or other volatiles and, according to Master Bond, has a strong impact strength values combined with rigidity properties.

Master Bond EP30R is designed for applications where strength, dimensional stability and impact resistance must be maintained even upon prolonged exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
