Parker Hannifin has published a new 40 page guide to its range of quick to install high pressure tube connection system, which provides permanent connections for tubing for fluids at up to 20,000psi (1,380bar).
 The 'Phastite' connections can be made in a push to fit operation that takes only seconds, using either a hand operated tool for diameters from 1/4" to 1/2"(6mm-12mm), or a bench mounted tool for diameters up to 1" (25mm). The method offers significant advantages over welded and cone and thread connections both in terms of time saved and reliability.
Application areas include: high pressure test equipment, high pressure hydraulics, deep water oil and gas drilling, remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs), other subsea equipment, laboratory testing, high pressure machinery including water-jet cutters and sprinkler systems, remote/unmanned plant and well heads and shipbuilding.
