Electro Mechanical Systems is exclusively distributing the latest in Faulhaber's product range.
 Faulhaber has expanded its encoder product line with the addition of its PA2-50 and PA2-100. Faulhaber now provides high resolution, low current draw optical encoders in different diameters from just 6mm.
It now packs 50 lines per revolution into a 6mm and 100 lines per revolution into an 8 up to 12mm diameter package.
Optimised for this application, a custom designed codewheel maximises the reflected light increasing the system's efficiency and signal reliability. Applications requiring miniature motors with precision encoders are said to benefit from the use of the integrated optical encoder, delivering high resolution results.
Complementing range of 6mm+ dc micromotors the PA2-xx optical technology delivers 50 / 100 lines per revolution before quadrature. Operating between 2.7 to 3.3V dc, low voltage battery applications are said to continue running for longer with higher resolution and more robust feedback signal reliability.
Improved battery life comes from a low-inertia codewheel and a current draw of 8 / 8.5mA.
