Lenord + Bauer has launched a new space-saving, two-channel speed sensor, with pulse amplifier, suitable for use in harsh environments and on applications where space is limited.
The GEL 2477, available in the UK from Motor Technology, has been designed with a robust, stainless steel housing and operates with any ferromagnetic measuring wheel. It is designed to provide high resolution and non-contact speed sensing of rotational motion.
According to Lenord + Bauer, the sensor features an integrated interpolation module capable of increasing the resolution by two, four or eight times. Due to the contact-free, magnetic sensing principle, it is suitable for use in harsh environments with large fluctuations in temperature.
It is particularly suited to motor, gearbox and roller applications which require improved performance and quality; both directly dependant on the resolution of the sensing device. The sensor is IP68 rated, is wear and maintenance free, and is suitable for use in environments with a temperature range of -40 to 120°C.
