Leuze electronic has enhanced its MLD series of light guards so that users can now buy a complete kit of parts for muted entry/exit light guard systems on one part number.
The sets come with new brackets and arms specifically designed for the MLD, and have the muting sensors pre mounted and adjusted. According to Leuze, this speeds up installation and ensures accuracy.
The muting sensors within the kit connect to a local connection box, which is designed to easily mount onto the light guard or the machine in order to reduce the amount of cabling. The connection wiring inside the control cabinet is used to define which one of six possible muting modes are used including parallel, sequential and partial muting.
Wiring complexity can be further reduced by using the MLD light guard's optional integrated muting lamp. There are no DIP switches to set and there is no pc connection, because setup is totally defined by the installation wiring to the M12 plugs.
The light guards are certified to EN ISO 13849-1 standards and operate at temperatures down to -30°C.
