Goodfellow's Technical Glass has announced a new range of high temperature, fibre based insulation products that are safe to use and retain their properties at temperatures up to 1300°C.
The alkaline earth silicate material of the Superwool 607 HT range is optimised to provide superior insulation in minimal space and is being offered as a safe to use alternative to traditional fibre based insulation.
According to the company, it features low biopersistence, meaning that inhaled fibres are rapidly removed by natural processes within the body. Additional features include low thermal conductivity, low shrinkage, good strength and thermal stability.
