The new KiTorq system from Kistler Instruments brings a new dimension to torque measurement. No antenna ring means easy installation whilst the universal intelligent stator gives greater operational flexibility making the new KiTorq ideal for a wide variety of applications.

A first for Kistler – Intelligent Universal StatorThe new Kistler KiTorq torque measuring flange system operates without an antenna ring and has standard flange geometry conforming to ISO7646 for easy installation. The universal, intelligent stator may be used with any KiTorq rotor of the same speed rating for greater operational flexibility. A choice of 500, 1,000, 2,000 or 3,000 Nm measuring ranges is available each with an accuracy class of 0.05% of range. The system has an excellent torque signal bandwidth of up to 10 kHz and a 60 pulses per revolution speed output. The torque output signals are fully scalable via a USB connection.

♦ Intelligent Universal Stator
♦ Stator recognises all rotor sizes, for operational flexibility.
♦ Contactless digital telemetry.
♦ No antenna ring, for easy installation.
♦ Excellent signal bandwidth of 10kHz
♦ High Accuracy (<0.05%)
♦ Flange geometry to ISO 7646

The KiTorq system is supplied as standard with SensorTool configuration and diagnostic software and calibration certificates. When replacing an individual rotor or stator, the notional calibration values can be calculated to avoid the need to have the unit recalibrated by the manufacturer.

The new Kistler KiTorq torque measuring flange is ideal for use in test stands for electric motors, internal combustion engines, transmissions, pumps and compressors in automobile, power, aerospace, mechanical, medical and process engineering.
