9-18 March 2012, UK
National Science and Engineering Week is a 10 day programme of around 4,500 events running throughout the whole of the UK with the aim of celebrating science, engineering and technology and inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers. With no restrictions on who can organise events, the topics on which they are focused, the audience or the venue, the resulting programme is a hugely varied and eclectic mix suitable for people of all ages and abilities.
With over 4,500 events and activities attended by 1.7million people in 2011 and generating over £1m in press coverage, this is the UK's widest grassroots celebration of all things science and engineering. You can join the celebration by attending an event or taking part in one of the hundreds of national activities.
