Screw-in device measures dew point inside

Brownell has a developed a device that can be screwed into the side of a container to measure the humidity inside, then show relative humidity, ambient temperature and dew point.

The current devices offered for storage containers use paper indicators. These turn from blue to pink as the humidity increases, then back to blue as humidity decreases. However, they fade in sunlight and the indicator solution used is water-soluble. The Easi-RH, which is at "pre-production stage", uses a solid-state sensor and a red LED figure display. When the membrane on the front is pressed, it displays relative humidity, temperature and dew point in succession. It will sell for "less than £100 each". Further models are to be expected since prospective customers are already asking for enhanced devices that can measure other things as well.
