CONSELF introduces 'pay-per-use' cloud simulation platform

Provided with the Software-as-a-Service approach, CONSELF Web Application allows engineers to run Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Stress Analysis (FEM) simulations. What’s more, users only pay for the computational time they use, meaning no more expensive software licences.

The application, with all its features and capabilities, is completely on Cloud and allows computationally demanding analysis to be run on a common browser from standard PCs, laptops or tablets. No installation is needed, just a registration process and designers can start running state of the art simulation, there is also a free subscription plan to try the platform. This negates the need for expensive hardware as well as software licences.

CONSELF claims the platform includes an intuitive wizard that guides the user through simulation setup and implements automated operations to select appropriate models to assure accurate results.

Moreover, specific applications dedicated to particular industrial sectors (HVAC, Ventilation, Pumps, Valves) are available in order to help designers deal with a minimum amount of parameters, simplifying the process.

Results obtained using CONSELF Cloud Simulation are said to be comparable with those from top commercial software in terms of accuracy and reliability. COSELF uses libraries for CFD and FEM calculations, such as OpenFOAM and CodeAster respectively, these codes are certified, validated and under constant quality control.

Cloud Simulation has many additional advantages, including unlimited computing power, the possibility to parallelise computations to obtain results faster at the same cost, a smooth learning curve with dedicated applications, intuitive workflow and automated operations and multiuser access allowing for work space sharing and real time work collaboration.

CONSELF Web Application can be applied in industrial sectors where there is a fluid in motion or a component that has to withstand mechanical loads and/or deformations CFD and FEM techniques allow for accurate insights allowing to improve efficiencies, optimising performances and minimising costs.
