SFC renamed to Clarendon Specialty Fasteners

Following the acquisition of Specialty Fasteners & Components (SFC) by Clarendon in 2014, the businesses will now trade under the unified name of Clarendon Specialty Fasteners, with effect from February 1st, 2017.

Since SFC was acquired in 2015, many changes have been implemented, with the objective of providing a more complete service to its customer base in its core aerospace, defence, motorsport and industrial markets.

“The SFC design and manufacture capabilities are an important part of our service offering which we can more readily promote to our customers if we trade under a single brand,” explained John Hunt, managing director. “Combining SFC’s capabilities with Clarendon’s growing range of ‘off the shelf’ fastening products enables customers to benefit from greater choice, availability and innovation.”

The company will continue to invest in its Totnes facility, which will remain the centre for design and manufacturing, along with sales for the defence and industrial markets. The aerospace and motorsport sales office in Leicester and the distribution centre in Swindon will also remain unchanged.
