ABP pressure sensors offer industry-leading long-term stability

Honeywell’s basic amplified ABP series of pressure sensors is now available in Europe through TTI. The piezoresistive silicon pressure sensors are said to offer a ratiometric analogue or digital output for reading pressure over the specified full scale pressure span and temperature range. The components are suitable for many commercial, industrial and medical applications.

ABP series sensors are claimed to be fully calibrated and temperature compensated for sensor offset, sensitivity, temperature effects and accuracy errors using an on-board Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC). Calibrated output values for pressure are updated at approximately 1kHz for analogue and 2kHz for digital.

Featuring industry-leading long-term stability of ±0.25%FSS and accuracy of ±0.25%FSS BFSL, the devices are said to benefit from a total error band of ±1.5%FSS, high burst pressures, a pressure range of 60mbar to 10bar; 6kPa to 1MPa; 1psi to 150psi, as well as a small footprint.

Fully REACH and RoHS compliant and meeting IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020D.1 moisture sensitivity level 1 requirements, ABP series sensors also offer a sleep mode option, a temperature output option, as well as a liquid media option.
