Increase productivity with UV-cure, anaerobic acrylic adhesive

Techsil are now launching in the UK the new "Vitralit® 4282-2" adhesive which boasts a uv-curing system combined with an anaerobic acrylic bond that can be used for filling, bonding, threadlocking and retaining. The uv feature allows assembly of parts with instant, on-demand handling with a uv-cure time of just 10 seconds. The shadow areas will then cure anaerobically to form high-strength, durable bonds.

UV-curing anaerobic acrylic adhesives offer many benefits, namely excellent adhesive strength, low stress and very fast uv-cure in only a few seconds, resulting in very short cycle times and high productivity in a two step curing process. Due to its excellent chemical and environmental resistance, it has become a popular solution with automotive manufacturers for sealing seams and filling pinholes in metal surfaces created by machining processes, such as laser-welding or brazing for example.
