BIM webinar targets designers for building sector

Eureka! has partnered with Autodesk and Building Products Magazine to produce a webinar on BIM (Building Information Modelling) for manufacturing. Taking place on 13th June, the webinar will consist of a 40 minute presentation by Autodesk with a Q&A session afterwards hosted by editor of Eureka!, Paul Fanning.

The webinar content is specifically geared towards project managers looking for insights to more efficiently plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure for implementing Industry 4.0 elements into their smart factory projects.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a collaborative way of working, underpinned by the digital technologies which unlock more efficient methods of designing, creating and maintaining our assets. BIM embeds key product and asset data and a 3D computer model that can be used for effective management of information throughout a project lifecycle – from earliest concept through to operation. It has been described as a gamechanging ICT and cultural process for the construction sector.

Do you design, manufacture or fabricate building products or equipment in the commercial, residential or public sector? Do your customers expect you to supply them with BIM-compliant product data? Are you currently having to manage or pay third parties to create and manage, parallel libraries of your products in a totally different design tool? If so, this event will be of relevance to you.
