SNAPLOC® fasteners help give a healthy return
An unusual application for Böllhoff's SNAPLOC® fasteners has emerged recently from the medical arena. With electrical power, equipment and instrument housings now found at almost every hospital bedside, the market for appropriate conduit (in this case often more commonly referred to as hospital bedhead trunking), is huge and still growing as more sophisticated resources continue to be installed in hospital wards.
Static Systems Group PLC of Staffordshire is one of UK’s premiere manufacturers of hospital bedside systems, and the fascias of their widely-used horizontal Modus Supply Panels make use of Bollhoff Fastening’s innovative SNAPLOC® fasteners. The unique design and specification of SNAPLOC allows easy and almost instant fuss-free access to equipment for maintenance or upgrading purposes, yet presents a smooth unimpeded face plate to the trunking.
Some existing bedhead trunking products tend to use screws, which apart from being unsightly can also present scope to harbour germs. So by specifying SNAPLOC for this application, Static Systems has delivered a solution that doesn’t just look and perform better, it also allows hospitals to embrace another opportunity to reduce the number of places where germs can accumulate too.
Static Systems also manufactures vertical Modus Supply Panels capable of housing its patient entertainment and communication systems, as well instruments, sockets and other equipment.
