Infolytica to release generator analysis in MotorSolve

Infolytica is the leading electromagnetic design software company since 1978, with tools allowing users to design basic, or highly complex electromechanical devices. One such design tool is MotorSolve, an easy to use yet flexible software for the design of electric motors. The soon-to-be-released MotorSolve 6.0 will now also include a new generator analysis feature.

Motor designers can rapidly simulate and get motor performance characteristics using MotorSolve, the powerful software that offers their complete analysis needs in one design environment. The template-based interface combined with the variational geometry modelling makes the software easy to use yet flexible enough to handle virtually any motor design.

MotorSolve simulates machine performance using an automated finite element analysis engine. There is no need to construct the model, perform mesh refinements and extensive post-processing to extract motor related results - MotorSolve performs these operations for the user.

Now with Generator Analysis

With the release of MotorSolve 6.0, Infolytica has added a generator analysis option. This option provides analysis tools such as voltage regulation, operating point analysis, and power vs speed curves. There are also general analysis programs, designed to obtain quantities not provided by the predefined analysis modes. Examples include motion analysis, reduced order model analysis, and D-Q analysis.

MotorSolve 6.0 helps engineers obtain standard motor/generator parameters, or design specialized virtual experiments. Users can display waveforms, FFTs of the waveforms, phasor diagrams, and time-averaged values of many quantities. Multiple designs can be analyzed at the same time and results of the different designs compared.
