Infrared fork sensors for fluid detection

Balluff has extended its range of BGL Fork Sensors by offering a fluid detection sensor.

This infrared Fork Sensor is suitable for detecting the level of clear, coloured or turbid fluids with a water content >15% through transparent walls. Fluids such as milk, household cleaners or viscous detergents cause no problem for this compact sensor. Applications that would normally cause problems for ultrasonic or standard capacitive sensors are ideal for these sensors.
