IP67 Brad HarshIO EtherNet/IP modules for roller drives

Written by: Tom Austin-Morgan | Published:

Molex has introduced what it claims to be the industry’s first ODVA conformance tested and approved IP67 EtherNet/IP I/O module to interface with roller drives. The compact Brad HarshIO modules are machine-mountable to connect with up to four industrial controllers to roller drives directly, even in the toughest environments.

An IP67-rated housing provides protection against the ingress of dust and liquid in high vibration environments.Machine mounting saves on cabinet space and reduces wiring costs in the field. An integrated two-port switch with 100Mbps delivers full duplex data transmission and enables a daisy-chain wiring topology for additional cost-savings. The Molex Ultra-Lock push-to-lock connection system delivers further time saving benefits for reliable IP67-sealed connection of cordsets during commissioning.

The HarshIO module supports eight digital inputs, for digital outputs and four analogue outputs controlling the speed of the drive. Featuring built-in protection to help prevent short circuit and current overload events, the modules also come equipped with diagnostic LEDs for visual feedback on network, power and I/O status.
