Motorcycle Innovation Helps Veteran

Lee Spring Engineering recently worked with a supplier of an innovative product to help motorcycle enthusiasts enjoy riding even when a physical disability would otherwise make it difficult or even impossible.

Chopper Design created the innovative product called LegUp LandinGear incorporating Lee Spring torsion springs. The new concept called 'Leg-Up' landing gear was designed to help disabled riders or those with knee or hip problems, to be able to support a heavy motor bicycle at slower speeds. A set of small wheels will automatically retract and deploy as the machine slows down, at speeds below 10 miles, if the rider is unable to do this for himself.
