Resist the Ignition - Flame Retardant Casting Elastomers are here!

Techsil has released a flame retardant range of rigid casting polyurethanes with rapid prototyping and production in mind. They all meet the UL 94V-O flammability rating, providing resistance to ignition and burning, and were formulated to simulate a variety of thermoplastic products such as Polyethylene, Polypropylene, HDPE, ABS and Polycarbonate.

These 7 Rigid Shore D products span both fast and medium cast work times from 2.5 minutes to 25 minutes, offer demould times between 1 and 6 hours and cover a range of hardness options.

Other types of Rigid Shore D casting resins that are available include:

Ten rigid urethanes in the Water Clear range - which are clear colourless casting systems - with an array of hardnesses and working times. They have exceptional clarity which enables them to be easily pigmented to bright colours (the Water Clear range also contains flexible grades).

Or the Non-Fire Rated Rigid Unfilled range which is a comprehensive line-up of 26 casting urethanes with a vast range of work times and physical properties, most of them are RoHS and REACH compliant. Many systems have high impact, high heat resistance and can be pigmented; there is a product available for almost every requirement!

These Rigid Shore D Urethane ranges have the prefix TC-8** (or WC for water clear) and are produced by leading manufacturers BJB enterprises in California and are available via European distributors Techsil Ltd.
