Stanyl PA46 from DSM Engineering Plastics has been selected by AVX Corporation for a new robust and reliable connection system for use in high reliability and harsh environments for wire-to-board applications. The connector system provides a 'gas tight' termination of a discrete wire to the PCB. The insulator housing provides the necessary strain relief on the wire to protect it from extreme mechanical and environment conditions. The insulators for the 9176 Series devices are made from UL94-V0 Stanyl PA 46 from DSM Engineering Plastics.
