Adjustable retraction system targets multi-axis robot applications

A new adjustable retraction system for multi-axis robot applications has been launched by igus.

The lightweight triflex RSP (Retraction System Pneumatic) system is designed for use with the company's triflex R energy chains and is said to ensure safe and consistent cable and hose guidance.

The device can be integrated quickly and easily to various robot models, from small welding robots to large palletising robots, allowing heavy fill weights and complex movements.

Benefits include adjustable retraction force, constant force curve along the entire movement, a compact design and mounting solutions for various robot types and manufacturers.
