Basic condition monitoring from igus

igus has developed a basic version of its PPDS condition monitoring system for use in smaller industrial applications.

The new module is designed to monitor push/pull forces to provide a simple emergency stop mechanism that is suitable for energy chains in long travel applications of up to 100m.

The module consists of a PPF sensor that is attached to the moving end of the fixation bracket, a force sensor cable, the PPDS Easy 2.0 monitoring unit, a power supply cable and control cable.
