How to build your own camera slider

In this week’s video igus introduces the drylin linear system for building your very own camera slider. The modular system is suitable for any type of camera and very easy to construct.

Comprising drylin W carriage with iglidur bearings and rail of any length up to 4 metres in one-piece, soft panning of the depth of field is particularly easy due to the smooth running of the system – whether it is a straight line or curved movement. The high-performance polymer bearings are self-lubricating and therefore require no maintenance.

The movement is silent. The stiff aluminium profile of the rail ensures zero deflection along its entire length, with an additional benefit being that the camera slider is light weight and therefore easy to carry.
