Introducing product highlights from this year’s Hanover Show

With the biggest stand in igus’ history, this year’s Hanover Show unveils a whole host of new products and innovations. In this week’s video, we take a journey around the stand with Artur Peplinski, vice president of igus.

One of the key highlights in 2019 is the world premiere of RBTX.com - a new platform that brings users and suppliers of low-cost robotics components together quickly and easily. Users can create a low-cost robotics solution that meets their needs and budget.

“Another important building block in our low-cost robotics is the drylin delta robot,” says Peplinski. Available directly from stock as a kit or delivered pre-assembled ready to install, the new, larger drylin delta has a working envelope 10x that of the original version launched last year. As with the previous version, it can be assembled in 30 minutes but has a working space 660mm by 100mm and 30 picks per minute.

A cost-effective, space-saving economy toothed belt drive, the drylin ZLN-40 has a profile height of just 27mm. Also, the new PRT-04 slewing ring bearing is 60% lighter than its predecessor and the installation height has been halved, offering even more design freedom.

“igus is now a member of the PROFINET user group and a certified supplier for its nine chainflex PROFINET cables,” adds Peplinski. “All igus cables come with a 36-month guarantee, due to extensive testing. For example, the CFBUS.060 has been tested to 59 million cycles.”
