In this presentation, we will briefly describe cluster computing hardware, including cloud computing environments. We will discuss how dividing a task across several computers makes it possible to solve models that require far more memory than what is available on a single workstation. We will also describe how parametric sweeps can be solved significantly faster by distributing the work to multiple computers. You will get a demonstration of how to add cluster computing to a COMSOL Multiphysics study, highlighting the most important steps to get your model up and running on a cluster.
The webinar features a live demonstration in COMSOL Multiphysics. You can ask questions throughout the webinar or at the end during the Q&A session.
