Industry 4.0 event set for Manchester

While many may not yet have embraced, or even defined, Industry 4.0, we are assured that the fourth industrial revolution is on its way. An event next spring in Manchester aims to inform and de mystify the subject.

'Industry 4.0 Summit' is a multinational event dedicated to the future of manufacturing industries. Described as the 4th industrial revolution, the world is currently witnessing a number of innovations which are fundamentally changing the way manufacturing businesses operate for the future. 'Industry 4.0 Summit' provides a platform to showcase the latest innovations, process changes and technological advancements coming to the market.

Event organiser Gary Gilmour, commented: “What will the factory of the future look like? How will technology play a bigger part in your manufacturing? What about next generation communication, systems and concepts? All very real concerns for modern manufacturers. Industry 4.0 Summit will bring together the biggest names in manufacturing with the latest technology, processes and practices to answer these questions.”

The event will welcome around 50 guest speakers from industry, including Siemens, ABB, Mitsubishi, TechUK, ATOS, Fujitsu, Smart Industry Netherlands, and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology.

'Industry 4.0 Summit' will cover the broad spectrum of manufacturing arenas, from biotech, textiles, electronics, construction, energy, defence, aerospace, automotive and consumer markets.

The exhibition is set to run over 4-5th April 2017 at the Manchester Convention Centre.
