Intelligent agents take control

A one day workshop is to be devoted to a revolutionary idea that could improve many things in manufacturing

A one day workshop 'Intelligent Agents' in industrial control will be held on Tuesday 22nd July at the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge. The workshop will be looking at the revolutionary possibilities of intelligent software agents in industry. The workshop will include live demonstrations of the technology as well as case studies of its application in manufacturing, supply chain management, defence and telecommunications. Intelligent agents can: * keep operations going when machines break down * negotiate the best deals with suppliers * manage robots and autonomous vehicles * reconfigure production systems * improve decision-making in inventory management * solve resource allocation dilemmas * cope with the unexpected as 'business as usual' To book a place or for further information about this and other events organised by the Institute for Manufacturing, please use the web-link below: Institute for Manufacturing Events Laura Rule Institute for Manufacturing University of Cambridge Mill Lane Cambridge CB2 1RX Tel: 01223 766141 Fax: 01223 464217
