The recent overhaul of PAS 2060 to ISO 14068 has updated the globally recognised benchmark for achieving and verifying carbon neutrality. This shift marks a significant step towards creating unified, credible and transparent standards for carbon claims across sectors.

Introduction of ISO 14068 and Its Key Principles

Entering into force in January 2025, ISO 14068 is the new international standard that defines the requirements and principles for organisations and products seeking to demonstrate carbon neutrality. Replacing the British PAS 2060, ISO 14068 significantly strengthens the requirements for carbon neutrality management plans. It promotes the concept of ‘Reduce, Remove and Offset’ by prioritising practical emissions reduction before offsetting. This is intended to bring about enhanced rigour, clarity and alignment with international standards.

Supporting Organisations with Expert Guidance

To support organisations in understanding and applying this new standard, Tunley Environmental, a leading sustainability consultancy, is teaming up with credible carbon credit provider One Tribe to deliver a free, CPD-certified webinar: "Achieve Carbon Neutrality with ISO 14068".

The webinar will take place on the 12th of June at 16:00pm (BST) and aims to demystify ISO 14068 while equipping attendees with the tools and frameworks to ensure their carbon neutrality efforts meet global best practice.
