See the world's first heavy lifting collaborative robot at MENE 2016

The world's first heavy lifting industrial collaborative robot, the FANUC CR-35iA can be viewed working in the foyer at Manufacturing & Engineering North East (MENE) on 6-7 July.

This new ergonomic robot can work safely hand-in-hand with human employees thanks to the use of intelligent sensors, which automatically stops the robot if it touches a human operator. This removes the need for safety fences, a previous requirement for all industrial robots, increasing production efficiencies and enabling a higher level of automation.

Servicing a variety of manufacturing industries, the CR-35iA can perform both simple and complex tasks lifting payloads of up to 35kg. The collaborative robot is also available with patented iRVision technology and 3D area sensor for bin picking.
