Semta invites sector to celebrate ‘generation great’

Nominations are now open for the nine key categories in the Semta Skills Awards 2017. Semta is inviting the engineering and advanced manufacturing sectors to put their companies and employees on the map and celebrate ‘generation great’.

The nine categories include: Apprentice of the Year, Higher Apprentice of the Year, Graduate of the Year, Skills Champion of the Year, Skills Innovation of the Year, SME Investment in Skills, Training Partner of the Year, Technician of the Year and Diversity in Engineering supported by WISE.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for companies and individuals to be recognised on the national stage,” said Alison Parkes, chief operating officer of Semta. “The Semta Skills Awards gives us all the chance to tell the World about the exceptional talent in our country; to shout about your achievements and to celebrate ‘generation great’ the young skilled men and women that will help our economy grow.”

Those wishing to nominate themselves, a colleague or a business should complete an online applicationbefore nominations close at Midnight on Wednesday November 30th.
