solidThinking unveils Inspire 9.0

solidThinking has announced the latest version of its simulation-driven product development software, Inspire 9.0.

The platform is optimised to provide design engineers with an intuitive environment that enables the exploration of structurally efficient concepts in the earliest phases of the design process. "It's never been easier to address structural challenges at the conceptual phase of a design project," said Andrew Bartels, programme manager for solidThinking Inspire. "By employing the new capabilities introduced in this release, users can rapidly generate design spaces and arrive at efficient design concepts while improving both static and dynamic stiffness and reducing weight." New features include advanced sketching tools, maximum thickness control, frequency targets, faster shape exploration and improved geometry capture. Files generated by Inspire can be exported to HyperMesh for validation and advanced structural analyses. A 64bit executable version is available for Windows 7, Vista and XP.
