The company, a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, is reinforcing its presence in the Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV) space with two new Automotive Delivery Centers in Germany — located in Munich and Villingen-Schwenningen — alongside a dedicated engineering center in Romania.
This strategic growth move is designed to help global automotive clients fast-track their shift towards next-generation, software-led mobility solutions.
New Hubs to Drive Next-Gen Automotive Solutions
The two German delivery centers will support automotive manufacturers in developing TCS’ advanced software-driven services. These will cover key areas such as autonomous driving, infotainment, vehicle safety systems, and connected vehicle technologies.
Meanwhile, the new engineering center in Romania will focus on designing and building automotive software platforms to accelerate early-stage innovation and development.
This latest expansion aligns with TCS’ long-term strategy to strengthen its expertise in end-to-end automotive software, chip-to-cloud technologies, and product lifecycle services.
Enabling Collaboration with Europe’s Leading OEMs
The strategic location of these centers positions TCS to collaborate closely with leading European OEMs and global automotive enterprises, offering nearshore services and capabilities.
Currently, the new facilities house over 100 skilled professionals, working alongside TCS’ 2,000+ global SDV engineers. Together, this international talent pool will focus on developing next-generation automotive platforms for digital cockpits, infotainment systems, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and other critical SDV features — covering everything from concept and development to production and post-launch support.
Supporting the Industry Shift to Software-Defined Mobility
Regu Ayyaswamy, Senior Vice President & Global Head, IoT and Digital Engineering at TCS, commented:
“These new centers will position TCS at the forefront of automotive innovation, enabling us to deliver state-of-the-art solutions in autonomous driving and advanced cockpit systems. This expansion reaffirms our commitment to leading the transformation in the Software-Defined Vehicles space.”
As the global automotive industry transitions towards software-defined, connected, and autonomous mobility, TCS is strategically positioned to lead this transformation.
