Test and measurement options for design engineers at EDS 2016

At this year’s Engineering Design Show, Rohde & Schwarz will present its first rugged handheld digital oscilloscope to offer measurement and analysis up to 500MHz as well as its’ compact lab scope for multi-domain applications.

The R&S Scope Rider is said to deliver the performance and capabilities of a lab oscilloscope as well as the form factor and ruggedness of a battery-operated handheld device. It is equally well suited to debugging embedded devices in the lab or analysing complex problems at the customer site. The R&S Scope Rider’s capabilities and the flexibility for debugging all kinds of electronic systems is expanded to include a new add-on for triggering and decoding CAN/LIN signals: the first such option to be offered for handheld instrumentation.

Also featured is the recently-introduced R&S RTO2000 oscilloscope with the performance, measurement functions and operational simplicity that designers require for fast and reliable measurements in multi-domain applications. New facilities available with the R&S RTO2000 include a spectrum analysis option and MIPI M-PHY triggering and decoding, along with compliance testing to Ethernet 2.5/5Gbit and eMMC standards.

This powerful, highly versatile and intuitive lab oscilloscope enables developers to analyse interactions between sophisticated functional units such as embedded power supplies, processors and sensors, displaying correlations between time, frequency, protocol and logic analysis measurement results.
