Young Entrepreneurs is a competition in which an individual or a group present a business plan for an imaginary start-up company to a group of potential investors, industry experts and audience.

Participants demonstrate their knowledge, entrepreneurship skills and aims at realising the innovative knowledge, practice or product.

The competition provides an excellent opportunity to share and develop knowledge and network with like-minded professionals.

The winners will be awarded with prizes and all participants will receive a certificate.

1st Prize: up to £150

2nd Prize: up to £100

Prize values will be at the judges' discretion based on the quality of the winning business plans.

Participants must be currently studying a relevant engineering / technology degree (both taught and research are acceptable) or should have graduated from any such degree in the last 10 years, and be within the age range 18 to 30. The Business Plan should have some basis on engineering and technology. Participants do not need to be a member of the IET.
