Focussing on Metal and Plastic Powders in the AM process, the topics include:

  • Recycle and quality issues;
  • Contamination and Oxidation issues
  • Powder characterisation and control
  • Quality considerations such as sampling, segregation, electrostatics
  • Latest techniques in spreadability testing and layer quality control

The course is aimed at anyone working in powder based additive manufacturing, particularly with metal or plastic powders.

The course is delivered by the Wolfson Centre for Bulk Solids Handling Technology, University of Greenwich and Carpenter Additive.
