The wireless system facilitates signal transmission to and from moving parts, such as grabbers or tools without the need for signal lines. Up to four switching devices can be connected to the I/O-Box. Power is supplied by battery or 24V DC connector, an alternative option is to connect inductive sensors. This increases the availability of the overall machine or plant, and also simplifies construction.
With this product, steute aims to assist applications which to date have been using cabled switching devices on moving machine components, requiring a costly power supply which is susceptible to wear and tear. Another potential field is for compact machines where cable ducts are inconvenient.
Wireless I/O unit
The Wireless business division of steute presented its I/O unit enabling existing mechanical switching devices, such as cam switches in machine tools, to be integrated into wireless systems.
