Green car offered as prize for design Designers are invited to enter the third annual Emhart Design Contest, featuring a top prize of $20,000 or a 2005 Toyota Prius. Details may be found at Emhart Design Contest Original design ideas may be submitted in one of four categories: * Everyday Products * Medical (NEW category this year) * Safety * Transportation In addition to the prize, entrants can expect could get global recognition and hopefully the support they need to take their product idea into production. There is no cost to enter. One Grand Prize winner will receive a hybrid car or $20,000 in cash. One First Prize winner will get a Segway Transporter. Dozens of other prizes will be awarded, and all accepted entrants in the U.S. will receive an Emhart POP PowerLink 30 repair kit/hand rivet tool as a gift (a $50 value). The contest is sponsored by Emhart Teknologies, a company specialising in the design and creation of unique assembly technologies. Co-sponsors include: Allfast Fastening Systems, a manufacturer of solid/blind rivets and installation tooling for aircraft, and SolidWorks Corporation.
