50% less energy consumption
Parker Hannifin has unveiled its Air Saver Unit, which is said to improve efficiency in air blow applications and can reduce air consumption by up to 50%.
Aside from reduction in air consumption, the Air Saver Unit also offers savings in compressor power and a reduction in overall CO2 emissions.
Parker Hannifin claim The Air Saver Unit is easy to install. At plants using electrically operated solenoid valves to control air blowing, the units can be retrofitted to deliver a reduction in air consumption with no significant system changes i.e. PLC program reconfiguration. For plants using manual ball valves, there are also passive versions of the Air Saver Unit series that do not require any electrical power.
There are seven models in the Air Saver Unit range, offering flows (at 5 bar) from 150 to 15,000l/min.
