Techsil launch new REACH compliant casting materials

The new improved F-1 series of polyurethane elastomers meet RoHS and REACH requirements but that's not all – F stands for Fast and these materials feature fast de-mould times. They also have enhanced physical properties such as higher tear and tensile strength and greater elongation. They range from 5 to 95 Shore A.

Techsil's most popular BJB polyurethane elastomers have been reformulated to meet RoHS and REACH requirements. The new fast F-1 Series ranges from a 5 to a 95 Shore A and features shorter de-mould times. The new F-1 series has substantial improvements of physical properties over the existing F range, such as higher tear and tensile strength and greater elongation. These elastomers also have convenient 1:1 or 1:2 mix ratios. Seven new products have just been launched in the F-1 Series covering the range, 40 through to 95 Shore A. Four additional products (5 to 30 Shore A) will be available soon. Initial feedback from our UK customers has been very positive for these new products. BJB say, "Our goal with this transition is to simplify our product lines and make it easier for customers to choose the right product for their application. The products will be introduced a few at a time but all will be available within a few months. Eventually the old F series will be discontinued, so as we introduce them think about transitioning to these new/improved products. Stay tuned for new things to come! " The 7 new products launched so far are: BJB F-140 40 Shore A Polyurethane Elastomer BJB F-150 50 Shore A Polyurethane Elastomer BJB F-160 60 Shore A Polyurethane Elastomer BJB F-170 70 Shore A Polyurethane Elastomer BJB F-180 80 Shore A Polyurethane Elastomer BJB F-190 90 Shore A Polyurethane Elastomer BJB F-195 95 Shore A Polyurethane Elastomer Coming shortly, there will also be an M-3100 Series for customers needing more work time. The M-3100 Series products will also range in hardness from a 5 to a 95 Shore A. To download these datasheets or request a sample, please click here.
