ETT linear motor series offers high performance and precise control

Parker has expanded its series of ETT linear motor rod-style actuators. Suited for pneumatic substitution where greater position control capabilities are required, the ETT is claimed to offer high thermal efficiencies and reduced maintenance combined with IP67 protection for harsh environment use.

Available in four lengths and four sizes, the ETT tubular motor series, is said to be capable of delivering thrust values of up to 2083N peak force, travel speeds of up to 8m/s and accelerations of up to 350m/s2. With repeatability of ±0.05mm, the ETT is well suited for linear handling and pick and place applications.

ETT is a ‘direct drive’ actuator; therefore the motion is generated without mechanical transmission elements like ball screws, toothed belts or gearboxes that can present important installation, operation and maintenance challenges and costs.

ETT has been designed to be controlled by any standard servo drive with either a 230 or 400Vac supply voltage, removing the need to use a special low voltage drive.

A variety of optional accessories are available for the ETT Electric Tubular Motor series to aid with mounting. Parker has also added motor connectors to its ETT025 variant, replacing flying cables.
